Here’s a breakdown of reimbursable expenses through the HealthEquity lifestyle spending account:

Invest in yourself with gym memberships, home gym equipment, nutrition counseling, or even a bicycle. Your gym membership, fitness classes and health apps are covered too.

Fitness Memberships & Programs

  • Gym memberships
  • Weight loss programs (e.g., WW, Jenny Craig, etc.)
  • App‑based fitness or wellness subscriptions (e.g., Peloton, Noom)

Training & Coaching

  • Personal trainer fees
  • Nutrition counseling (online or in person)

Athletic Gear & Activities

  • Home gym equipment
  • Athletic or running shoes
  • Outdoor bicycles
  • Hiking boots (NEW)
  • Entry fees for races (e.g., 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, Ironman, etc.) (NEW)

While the Lifestyle Spending Account offers a wide range of benefits, there are certain expenses that are not eligible for reimbursement. It’s essential to familiarize yourself with these exclusions to ensure that your claims align with the program’s rules:

  • Supplements/meal replacements/shakes
  • Wearable devices
  • Day Care fees
  • Rent or homeowners dues
  • Country club memberships

Wichita associates who participate in the YMCA corporate membership program are not eligible to participate in the Lifestyle Spending Account benefit.

how to submit a reimbursement request:

Eligible expenses incurred from January 1 – December 31 of the plan year, may be submitted online for reimbursement through HealthEquity’s website up to 90 days after the end of the plan year. Any eligible expenses submitted will be reviewed by HealthEquity and paid via payroll in the following month on the next available payroll and will be taxed at the supplemental rate. 

To submit your eligible expense, you’ll need to have a copy of your receipt before completing the steps below:

  • Login or register as a new user on HealthEquity’s website.
  • Once logged in, on the right-hand side, select IMA Well-Being Program.
  • Select “submit receipt or claim” then select “IMA Well-Being Program Claim – Pay Me Back
  • Follow the claim submission steps and upload your receipt. 
  • Approved claims will be paid the following month on the next available payroll and will be taxed at the supplemental rate.
