time off

LifeBalance paid time off (LBPTO)

IMA provides time off from work for full-time associates with LBPTO for vacations, personal business or family matters. Finding the right work/life balance is different for each person. That’s why IMA does not set a limit on the amount of LBPTO you may take each year. Please consider your job-related obligations and responsibilities to IMA and consult with your manager before requesting LBPTO.

For associates who do not qualify for LBPTO, IMA offers an annual lump sum of 80 hours of sick leave, beginning on the first day of each calendar year. Eligible new hires will also receive a lump sum of 80 hours of sick leave on their first day of employment. An associate may carryover any unused sick leave for use in subsequent years. However, you may only use up to 80 hours of paid sick leave each calendar year.

For questions, contact your Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or email HRBusinessPartners@imacorp.com.

holiday procedures:

  • Since many of our offices elect to close early on the day before major holidays, it is our recommendation that office leaders coordinate the closing time so that we can be consistent and equitable from one location to another. Most offices have historically observed 3pm for early closure.
  • When a holiday occurs on an associate’s normally scheduled workday, the associate will be paid for their normally scheduled hours.
  • Normally scheduled hours are defined as the number of hours the associate would have been scheduled to work during a normal workday.
  • During a holiday week, the associate will be paid overtime for actual hours worked in accordance with state regulations; this does not apply to salaried associates.
  • Non-exempt associates who are required to perform work on a company-paid holiday will be paid for all time worked and as otherwise required by law, in addition to any holiday hours.
  • If an associate’s two week notice of employment separation falls on a holiday, the separation date will be accepted as the day prior to the holiday.
  • IMA Wealth, Inc. will determine their holiday schedule based on the market being open or closed.
