new to IMA?

welcome aboard!

As a new associate at IMA, we encourage you to get to know the different ways the IMA benefits program can be there for you and your family. Before you enroll, we encourage you to carefully review these benefits so you can make the best choices for you and your loved ones.

The choices you make when you first become eligible are in effect for the remainder of the plan year.

You have three opportunities to enroll in or make changes to your benefits:

  1. Within 30 days of your hire date, but we suggest taking no more than 15 days in case of errors or delays
  2. During the annual open enrollment period
  3. Within 30 days of a Qualified Life Event (60 days for a change under Medicaid or CHIP)
    • Marriage, divorce or legal separation
    • Birth or adoption of a child
    • Death of a dependent
    • Loss or gain of other health coverage for you and/or dependents
    • Change in employment status
    • Change in Medicaid/Medicare eligibility for you or a dependent
    • Receipt of a Qualified Medical Child Support Order

Keep in mind that you may be required to provide supporting documentation, such as a birth certificate or marriage certificate, to prove your dependent’s eligibility.

Follow these steps to make your benefits enrollment experience a little easier… and let the benefits begin.
